Meet our team
Vegfest Guelph is a community-based group of dedicated individuals who created this event to promote a fun and healthy vegan lifestyle.
Christine is a passionate vegan and animal rights advocate, long-time Registered Massage Therapist, entrepreneur and co-founder/ organizer of Vegfest Guelph. She was inspired to help start Vegfest Guelph as a way to create community and support to people wanting to explore and become vegan, knowing that it is the most significant change a person can make to benefit themselves, the animals and the planet.
As music director and garden stage coordinator for Vegfest Guelph, Tricia programs the musical entertainment for the festival as well as for fundraising events such as our “Voices for Vegfest Guelph” concert. Tricia is also one of our performers, lending her talents as singer/songwriter to all of Vegfest Guelphs musical events. Tricia strives for a vegan world in which we all live long and prosper.
Katie is an image based artist known for her ‘Beauty of Nourishment’ series in which she focuses in on the organic allure of fruits and vegetables. She joined Vegfest Guelph in early 2015, wanting to become more involved in the veg community, help spread the word about veganism and be amongst like-minded individuals.
Jen has been advocating for animals and animal rights for almost 30 years. She works as a data analyst for a large non-profit organization and gets her soul fulfillment by volunteering (and giving pigs belly rubs!) at Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary. After bearing witness at her first slaughterhouse vigil in December 2015, Jen felt that more must be done to end the suffering of farmed animals and so joined the Vegfest Guelph team to help reach out to the community and promote compassion for all.
Kim is a passionate vegan who loves to spread vegan awareness through cooking and outreach. Kim is also a talented photographer and website designer, and our go-to guru for all things online.
Meredith is a Research Analyst and moved to Guelph in early 2015. She has been vegan for 15 years, and vegetarian since she was 13 years old. She has always been passionate about animal rights and has devoted many volunteer hours to organizations like Zoocheck and Animal Justice Canada. Meredith joined Vegfest Guelph as a means to help grow the veg community and increase awareness of the plight of animal industries on the animals, humans and the environment. She believes humans are born innately compassionate and would love to help steer our world back to our childhood mind set where every being deserves to live unharmed, in peace and free.
