The wonderful organization Animal Alliance of Canada has joined us as the sponsor of our Get Vegucated area of Vegfest Guelph 2016! Animal Alliance is a not-for-profit lobby group, campaigning at the municipal, provincial and federal levels of government. Their mission is long-term animal and environmental protection through public education, legislative advocacy, and political action.
They also operate the rescue network Project Jessie who will have a separate booth at our Vegfest. Created in 1991, this rescue focuses primarily on dogs and cats in pounds where they are vulnerable to being sent for research or being euthanized for inappropriate reasons. All creatures are cared for in foster homes and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being available for adoption to appropriate, loving homes.
